The Burn Foundation of Jamaica is a humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives, restoring hope, and transforming the future of burn victims across Jamaica. We exist to ensure that no individual suffering from burn injuries is left without access to critical medical care, emotional support, and long-term rehabilitation.

Our Mission

To provide urgent medical assistance, airlift support, rehabilitation resources, and financial aid to burn victims particularly those with severe and life-threatening injuries while advocating for improved burn care systems in Jamaica.

A Jamaica where every burn survivor receives timely, quality treatment and the opportunity to heal physically, emotionally, and socially.

What We Do

Emergency Medical Support

We mobilize resources quickly for individuals suffering from severe burn injuries, especially third-degree burns that require specialized care. When local treatment options are limited, we assist in coordinating overseas medical transfers and life-saving air ambulance services.

Financial Assistance

Burn treatment is expensive. From surgeries and skin grafting procedures to medication and rehabilitation, the costs can be overwhelming. We raise funds to help families cover urgent medical expenses so they can focus on healing—not financial stress.

Medical Equipment & Supplies

We partner with hospitals and healthcare providers to supply critical burn care equipment, wound care materials, and recovery resources to improve treatment outcomes.

Survivor & Family Support

Beyond the physical wounds, burn trauma leaves emotional scars. We provide counseling support, community advocacy, and reintegration assistance to help survivors rebuild confidence and dignity.

Prevention & Awareness

Through education campaigns and community outreach, we promote fire safety awareness, burn prevention strategies, and early response education to reduce the number of burn-related injuries nationwide.

Why We Exist

In Jamaica, severe burn cases often require specialized treatment that may not always be readily accessible. The difference between life and death can depend on immediate intervention and access to advanced care. The Burn Foundation of Jamaica steps in during that critical window when time is ticking and hope feels fragile.
